Some green shoots

Its been a while that both 1st & 2nd teams have won on the same day unfortunately we could not make it 3 out 3 but we had an overall a good day at the club

The 1st team won by 6 wickets at Bredon thanks to some good bowling by Saravana Krishnas who collected some fine figures 7.4 overs 3 for 19, Lucas Recordon also taking 3 wickets supported by Yuvraj Ahluwalia who capped a great all round day making 34 no off 66 balls. A patient knock which was needed after a rather nervous start to our innings. Once again Jack Collins contributed to our victory with a fine 44 off 78 balls. Still work to be done on reducing the extra’s given away but a promising start to the season after last weeks disappointment

Our 2nds had a welcomed victory &i it was captain Adam Heath who took CCC over the line with swashbuckling 29 off just 13 balls including 2 big sixes! Adam had seen his side slip to 71 for 7 & potential defeat after s familiar collapse however his tremendous innings showed how to put those nerves to rest. On the bowling from both Harry Evan’s & Charlie Cresswell picking up 3 wickets each. Once again a real together feeling amongst the team which is most definitely apparent around the whole club this season

Our 3 rd team once again lead by the evergreen Tom Palmer this season who was the only player to get into double figures in a disappointing total of 82 however they made Malvern fight for every run and bowled well with Adam Weston, Tom Barter & Giles Morgan picking up the wickets.

Green shoots apprearing and nothing is better than creating a winning habit we go again next week with Cookley at Home for 1st team, 2nds are away at Old Vigornians and 3rds make the short journey got Worcester Nomads.

Please remember Presidents annual quiz takes place at the club house on Saturday with Caribbean Max providing your food from 6ish

Have a great week
